losing an argument when you are right just because the other person is too stupid to understand what you’re saying is probably one of the most infuriating things the entire universe

Patrick is pretty boring off-stage, too…. but he’s also great at performing, it’s like he’s a different person. I think a lot of great entertainers are like this.
I am still waiting to hear my results from the glucose test. I feel like normally they get the results of my lab work in pretty quickly—I think I got a call the next day the first blood test I had at the beginning of the pregnancy.
I had asked them and they said my test results from Thursday would likely come in Monday since Friday is a half-day for them and then the weekend… but I haven’t heard anything.
I’m just assuming that means I passed my glucose test because surely they’d have called me by now to schedule the three hour test if there were an issue.
The only time they called me when there wasn’t an issue was when I thought I might be having a miscarriage (totally wasn’t) and she called to tell me my HCG levels were good and going up still.
…I really need to be drinking more water, though.
It’s raining right now and I really want to go swimming in the pool (no thunder or lightening, just heavy rain).
This post is a bit random, I’m sort of trying to avoid cleaning.

I am trying to clean today.
Which is obviously why I’m on Tumblr instead.
But really I am at least eating lunch right now.
My wrist got hurt when I had to turn off the light over the dining room table because Patrick and our roommate forgot it (I don’t know which of them went to bed first) and I went to bed first so I didn’t know it was on and always turn it off if nobody is sitting at the table, anyways.
So I turn it off, but then it’s pitch black and we’d just had the baby shower so I knew there was lots of stuff to trip over but I make it past that in the dark and then coming twoard the hallway I trip over Patrick’s bookbag and slam into the wall but instead of catching myself with my hand my arm is flipped and the back of my wrist hits while my hand is bent at a strange angle. I’d already been having issues with my carpal tunnel lately but I seriously hurt my right wrist/hand.
On top of that, I just get tired easily.
But I want the apartment to get clean!
I also want to start fixing up the furniture and what-not for our room/the baby’s room.
I’m so ready to start nesting but I have about a month and a half ‘til our roomate moves out. I’m going crazyyyyyyyyyyyyy. I want to make a nursery! I want to have that closet to store baby stuff in instead of in the middle of the living room.
I also want half of Patrick’s music shit out of this house unless he helps me fucking clean out and organize a closet so he can store his stuff in there. We still have a lot of crap we brought from home but that we should probably just get rid of.
I tried to buy a cradle mattress the other day but the one I got was too short (I measured it 14x31 but a 15x30 fit perfectly width-wise but the length was at least two inches short). I’d wanted to get the naturepedic bassinet pad but they didn’t have it in store so I figured I’d buy the one they had that’s not organic at all, but since it doesn’t fit anyway I think I’m going to return it and order the naturepedic bassinet pad even though it’s more than double the price. At least I have a 20% off coupon. I just can’t find reviews on the one I got at all and I’ve heard good things about the one I want but there were some reviews that worried me (it loses it’s firmness and develops a dip in the spot the baby sleeps—but we’re wondering if we flip the pad regularly will that fix it?) so I was hesitant to buy it without seeing it.
My mom is getting me the diaper bag I was really, really wanting for my birthday, I already ordered it and she’ll pay me back (I may have posted this already), whatevs. I’m very excited, I hope it’s a good diaper bag because I hate to spend so much on a diaper bag but it’s going to be replacing my purse for awhile (although I rarely spend over $20 for a purse—since this is hopefully 3 times the size at least I guess it’s ok)

I was wanting to go on and buy the high chair and stuff with gift cards but figured he won’t even be using a high chair right away even if he’s born early and it will just take up space we don’t have yet so we’re waiting… but I want to start buying stuff and getting everything set up for my little man noooooooow.
I at least got to wash some more baby clothes today because I had a full load (a girl brought me a bag of her sons old clothes. I hate washing them (because they are tiny and there are a million of them and I flip them inside out one by one and with my wrist hurt it especially sucks and then once they dry I have to flip them back out then fold them) but I’m constantly anxious to wash the new baby clothes I get (I don’t wash them with our clothes because I have cheap detergent for us but bought some nice sensitive skin scent free detergent for baby… mostly because I honestly hate the “baby smell” that is, the smell they put in everything so your babies reek of it. That and baby powder, ugh. I can tolerate the baby powder but I am not buying special baby detergent that is going to make my baby smell exactly the way I hate.
