I have worn horizontal stripes for as long as I can remember, I didn’t even find out it was a no-no until recently. I do have a deep love for nautical themes, always have, maybe that’s why I ignore it and wear them anyway… but I honestly think I look damn good in them. There are plenty of popular and unpopular things I’ve tried out that I have absolutely hated on me. It really comes down to body type and personal preference…. I have and will always continue to wear horizontal, though I may be a fatty.
