So I have a ton of photos from my wedding now. I just spent the entire day yesterday uploading them to Facebook, deleting the repetitive ones and ones that just weren’t so great I had to have them up there. It was seriously over 400 photos.
As such, I’m not going to be uploading all 400 photos to Tumblr, but I want to show them off. So I’m going to be uploading them over the next few days (maybe weeks if I just can’t pick my favorites) in themes.
The first photo you see of us together is after Patrick’s uncle informed us that he had KFC in the car if we wanted some. Patrick and I were starving, neither of us had eaten that morning, so we jumped on the opportunity. I couldn’t eat very much, but it was still nice to be able to get a little bit in me… especially since I was pregnant
The next couple photos are of some of the flowers. Sunflowers were my main flower—growing up I remember looking at photos my mom had of her and my daddy and seeing photos of sunflowers he grew. I always associated the flower with him so when I got engaged it was a no-brainer it would be my wedding flower in honor of him (my father died 3 months before I was born of cancer). Also, sunflowers are just so pretty and I love them. When we went to look at flowers at the wholesale place I just decided iris would be pretty with it. We had blue iris around my house that I remember from my childhood, I’ve always loved them, so when the colors just seemed perfect together it just made the decision that much easier (also, looking in a baby name book later I saw iris means “rainbow” so I think it’s neat we chose some for our rainbow-themed wedding). The white flower is something like white caspia, I believe. We used it just to add a bit to the bouquet.
I made Lupe’s flower garland out of black fabric and some fake flowers I bought at Hobby Lobby. I super glued them on, only to realize later there was probably an easier way using floral wire and tape. But it worked, so it’s ok. While I could personally dye her hair pink, I had it dyed pink at the groomers. It took three hours instead of 45 minutes like originally thought, poor girl.
The photographers did a great job getting photos of my wedding rings. Unfortunately, I didn’t get my engagement ring cleaned before the wedding ‘cause I ran out of time… but it’s ok.
I bought that rainbow bracelet off Etsy, I had found it via Off Beat Bride’s pintrest, I believe. Or maybe a post they made. I forget.
My printer decided to stop working so when we tried to print out our vows we got nothing. I had to hand-write my vows down before the wedding while everybody was setting up. I had written my vows two months before, didn’t really care for them and had planned to go back and re-write them. Luckily, I saved the ones I had because I never got to re-write anything so I had to go with what I originally had.
And finally, me and Lupe. She is a needy little dog and loves her mommy, and her mommy loves her… when she’s not annoying the crap out of me, which is most of the time. But seriously, she’s a good little dog.
Again, the photos were done by my amazing friends and you can check out their website here!
